In a touching display of gratitude, each member of the football team surprised a teacher by presenting them with an official team jersey, and a letter of gratitude on Thursday Oct.16th! More than just a uniform, the jersey symbolized respect, appreciation, and the powerful bond between students and the educators who go above and beyond.
Our school will soon be participating in the NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress) testing! This important national assessment helps measure student learning across the country.
Information about testing dates and which students will participate will be listed below. Please help your child be prepared by getting plenty of rest and eating a good breakfast on testing day.
Thank you for your support as we represent our school and community with pride! 💙

The music students have been so busy the past month and I would like to take this opportunity to highlight their accomplishments and activities.
First on September 7th and 8th, the senior high students took a music trip to Medora to take advantage of a (somewhat) local live performance. The 6th and 7-12th band and the color guard marched in the Homecoming parade on October 3rd. A choir member or an ensemble of choir members have provided the Star-Spangled Banner for all home sporting events. The 4th and 5th grade students have chosen their instruments and have started beginning band. Several choir students attended the NDSU Choral Festival with 500 other choral students from around North Dakota and Minnesota that was held on October 5th and 6th. They sang in an SSA Women’s Choir with 200 other students. Lastly to round out the quarter all of the music students performed at the 100th annual Sauerkraut Day. They provided entertainment and a link to our traditions through playing their band instruments, singing mostly in German and learning the accordion. Thank you to Patti Herr, Della Schilling, Deb Brandner, Gladys Kemmit, the Knoll's and the Weisz's for trusting us with your accordions. A huge thank you to Jerry Lehr and Janet Wolff for setting up the sound system outside. Wasn't it beautiful out? Lastly a gigantic thanks to Janet Wolff for accompanying the band and choir and helping teach the beginner band students.
Music is a vital part of education and contributes to well-rounded adults who are active in the community around them. I am so lucky to work with such great students. If anyone has a favorite music memory or a performance you were a part of in Wishek or elsewhere I would love to hear about it!
Upcoming events include One Act Play Dinner and a Dress Rehearsal on Sunday November 2nd details to be determined. The One Act Play Regional Competition held November 6th. This event is open to the public. Come over and support the One Act students (details also TBD). Then we have the Christmas concerts at the end of the semester. The Jr/Sr High Concert is on December 2nd and the Pk-6th Concert is on December 8th.

Congrats Class of '26
