Send off details: We will start at 1:00 PM sharp tomorrow in the gym. Coaches will speak about the season, team etc...then a 20 minute video will be shown. The team will then start loading the bus in preparation for their 1:30 departure time. I ask everyone to park their vehicles along the designated route, turn your hazards on, honk your horns and give these boys a big send off.

We will be recognizing the football team Thursday starting at 1:00 PM in the gym. All are welcome to attend. The team will depart for Fargo at 1:30. Here is the route the football team will be taking.
Window clings are available for purchase. $10.00. Pickup at either office in the school.
Correction: Football send off will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Wishek School. Bus departs at 1:30 for the dome.

Best of luck to our South Border volleyball team this afternoon in their opening round region game vs Lamoure-LM at approximately 4:30. The region tournament is being held in Ellendale this year. Today's game will be broadcasted on BEK TV. BEST OF LUCK TO THE PLAYERS AND COACHES!
Update for the Dakota Bowl:
South Border will be playing North Prairie Friday, November 10 at 9:10am for the 9-man state championship. Each school (Wishek and Ashley) will have 100 tickets for adults and 100 tickets for students. These tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. You can purchase these tickets starting Tuesday morning at 8:00 from your respective school. Payment will be due at the time you come to the school to receive your tickets. We will not be holding any on reserve. In Ashley, see Teresa Dockter and in Wishek see Chuck Brandner. THESE TICKETS ARE ALL GENERAL ADMISSION. I think it is important to understand that these are not a reserved spot. Those who do not get a ticket from the school will have to purchase from the ticket booth at the dome the day of the game. The reason for the school selling tickets is to cut down on the line at the ticket booth at the dome. By purchasing from the school, you are not getting a better ticket, you will just not have to stand in line at the dome to purchase. Ticket prices- Adults $20 and Students $6.

Lanna Slaby from the ND Vision Services/School for the Blind was in to talk to 6th grade about reading and writing for visually impaired people. The students were able to use a brailler and type their names.
Coverage of Region 3 volleyball in Ellendale will take place on BEK Sports. Just a reminder that the South Border girls will be playing Lamoure-LM at roughly 4:30 on Monday, November 6.
