The Christmas concert has been rescheduled for Wednesday January 4th at 7 pm.
Wishek Public School board amended the calendar due to the recent storm. December 21st and 22nd will now be in session. All students need to be in school Monday and Tuesday. Semester tests will be Wednesday and Thursday. January 16th will now be in session. March 20th will still be no school for students, but staff will have professional development. Reminder April 10th will now be in session due to earlier storm dismissal.

Girls and Boys basketball in Mobridge for Saturday December 17th has been cancelled.
Girls wrestling quad this weekend in Ashley has been cancelled.
Wishek Public School will be closed tomorrow.
The wrestling tournament on December 16-17 in Linton has been cancelled.
Wishek Public School will not be in session for Thursday. Stay safe.

This weather system has been challenging to say the least. Hindsight is always 20/20. Maybe we could/should have had school the past few days. I correspond with area superintendents to gather road conditions from Steele to Ashley. When considering school closures, I take in account bussing as well as having enough staff to be able to effectively have school. This storm has brought a trifecta of difficulty-rain to ice followed by a lot of snow. If the wind picks up and temperatures also decrease we are in store for conditions that I do not recall seeing this early. I plan on making a decision early tomorrow morning to see what tonight brings. If you live out of town I would welcome comments on how the road conditions are out your way. Thank you. Supt. Kuntz
