Here is the updated volleyball schedule. You will notice a change in the JH program on August 31. We will start at 3:30 and play two games capping each game at 45 minutes so the C game starts on time at 5:00pm.

Here is the updated football schedule with the new change (JH Football-8/24 game vs EEK canceled).
The JH football game against EEK on Thursday, Aug 24th has been CANCELLED.
UPDATED GOLF SCHEDULE: Please note the 9/2/23 meet is new to the schedule.
GIRLS GOLF PICTURES: Pictures will take place Monday, August 21 at 8:25am at the Wishek Golf Course.
Just a reminder that we are having an open house TUESDAY, AUGUST 15 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. During this time your child can walk around the school, meet their teachers, and put away supplies. At this time parents can also meet teachers, check out some of the new updates to the school, fill out paperwork, and deposit lunch money if desired.
Please note changes to the volleyball schedule: On September 26 against Strasburg-Zeeland there will only be a C and varsity game (NO JV). The C game will start at 6:00. For the October 10 game against Kidder County, there will be NO C game. We will play a JV and varsity game with the JV starting at 6:00.
Please note changes in the football schedule: The JV team will be going to Herreid Monday, August 21 with a start time of 5:00. The varsity football game with Hettinger-Scranton has been moved to Saturday, October 14 starting at 3:00 CST.
ATTENTION PRESCHOOL PARENTS: Please plan to attend the WPS schoolwide open house on Tuesday, August 15th between 5:00 and 7:00pm. Bring your preschooler and check out our classroom together! We will be getting acquainted and unpacking school supplies that evening. The Wishek Preschool Program meets on Mondays and Tuesdays when school is in session. The official start date for preschool students is Monday, August 21st. If you have any further questions, send an email to Mrs. Bader at stacy.bader@k12.nd.us and she will be happy to answer them.
PRACTICE TIME CHANGE: Football practice Friday, August 11 will be at 3:30 in Ashley. The bus will leave Wishek at 3:00. This is for both jh and varsity teams.
Here is the schedule for this weekend (Saturday, Aug. 12) at the Bowl. Six 9-man football teams from Region 3 and 4 will be scrimmaging from 1pm-5pm. If you plan on attending this, please sit on the NORTH bleachers. Also, to clear up any confusion there might be.....this event is a scrimmage in BISMARCK at the MDU Resources Community Bowl. The following Saturday, Aug. 19th, kicks off the season in MANDAN at the Starion Sports Complex (See information on that in a previous post).
The Mustang football team will open their season Saturday, August 19th at 5:30 in Mandan against the Beach Buccaneers. All of region 4 will be playing on this date at the Starion Sports Complex. This game is actually a home game for us but played on a neutral site. I am in need of 2 ticket takers and one person to help run chains. These individuals will only have to work for our game. MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Coronation for homecoming will take place at 1:30pm on September 12.
South Border is extending a tremendous opportunity to all girls in 6th grade this fall. In an effort to introduce a life long sport you are invited to attend girls golf practice. The goal of this short season would be to introduce the athletes to all gravest of golf including how to play, grip alignment and stance as well as what to expect for practice. The Mustang golf programs sincerely believe “Great People Make Great Mustangs” Coach St. Aubin is also aware that Elementary Basketball starts on August 21 and highly encourages your participation in that season at that time. Wishek Public School is looking for a school annual (yearbook) advisor. Duties would include constructing layout and editing of all information in addition to processing orders and seeing that all yearbooks have been ordered and distributed.
